Even today, many companies plan social media marketing activities, with or without influencers, without having a clear idea of the performance that could realistically be expected. Sometimes they get leading metrics wrong, other times the metric is right, but doesn't correlate to market benchmarks. In other words, how can you tell if my Facebook page or the influencer I have involved has few interactions if I don't compare them with something similar? Aware of this knowledge gap, for three years now, I have promoted a study in Buzzoole on the performance of influencers (extendable to any social profile/page), capable of offering reference benchmarks to marketers.
Furthermore, this data is also useful for understanding how social media is India Mobile Number Data transforming and how its algorithms are behaving. This year we analyzed over 1.8 million Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok profiles from around the world and summarized them in the free report “ Influencer Performance Benchmarks 2021 “. To understand them better, we have divided the profiles into follower groups: novice (up to 10,000), micro (from 10,000 to 100,000), top (from 100,000 to 1 million), celebrity (over one million). Here are some of the most interesting results: TikTok profiles, regardless of the size of their follower base, generate more interactions (likes and comments) per post than any other social profile.
In particular, posts on TikTok, on average, obtain approximately three times as many interactions as posts on Instagram. For example, a novice receives 240 interactions on the Chinese app and 63 on the US one. Even if we analyze the views, we discover that TikTok generates more than YouTube, limited to novices and celebrities. These are data that show the great viral strength of the short video app, at least in this phase in which its user base has not yet reached the levels of other platforms. Average engagement by profile type Compared to last year, the interactions and reach of posts on Instagram and Facebook dropped for all Creator categories, except for celebrities (with over 1 million followers). A sign that Zuckerberg's algorithms tend, unlike TikTok's communist one , to favor already known characters. In terms of Engagement Rate, novices manage to obtain superior results than others .
